Last Summer I began experimenting with drilling holes through various rocks so to integrate them better into my "nature mobiles". This piece of Iron ore from the U.P. proved to be particularly hard, of course! I managed to only get about 1/2" drilled out before realizing the folly. I set it aside in the garden. Fast forward and I spot this stone as I am looking for a suitable base for the submissions I was preparing for ArtWalk. A little 2part epoxy and 24 hours later and a new method for display of the desk top mobile is born.
