Made it! 6 hours on 2 trains, one big and fast, one slow and small. The later was from Bayonne and wound it’s way up the River valley to St Jean. Absolutely gorgeous scenery complete with flocks of Sheep. Really wish I had my tools and wire. Hopefully they will catch up with me in Espinal-Auzperri, that is where the airline will deliver my bag. (Fingers crossed) I really feel like creating something.
I took a walk around the town. It’s based on a citadel that was built by the Kings of Navarre to protect the Northern border of Basque country In the 12-1300’s. Like bed every minute and had to restrain myself from climbing. I will get enough of that tomorrow.
